Voltage regulator circuit
The final circuit in the Indoor Unit is the voltage regulator. This takes the 12volt supply from the 'wall-wart' DC supply and outputs a regulated 5 volts to the whole of the Indoor Unit.
It uses a standard 78L05 positive 3-pin regulator. Due to the relatively low current consumption of the Indoor Unit it's not necessary to use a regulator with a heat sink.
